I LOVE the feeling I get when I listen to a song I haven’t listened to in a really long time. It’s probably one of the most amazing feelings in the world. Forget journals, blogs, facebook, etc. All I need to do to remind myself of a time in my life is a specific songs. Give me a song and I can PICTURE a specific day or time period in my life, I can feel exactly how it felt, I can remember the way it smelled and sounded.

Tonight I put on Ryan Montbleau- Inspired By No One. And I immediately went back to walking off the E train at Port Authority in summer 2006. Walking in to the hot humid subway station, the smell, seeing the same people every day, walking to work. I remember exactly how I felt and 99.9% of the time I had a smile on my face.

This feeling it ultimate.

I think I’m going to start bringing back songs I listened to more in the past.
